We were successful in recruiting Welsh language users of the service and were able to facilitate Welsh interviews for these individuals. During the 12-week discovery, we worked with our stakeholders, Sian Delyth Lewis (Neurodivergence Programme Manager), and Einir Price (Senior Neurodivergence Manager) from the Welsh Government’s neurodivergence and learning disabilities team. Neurodivergence includes, but is not limited to, Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia and Tourettes Syndrome.

Alternatively, there are various services available to provide support and assistance. 111 Press 2 is an urgent service offering assessment and signposting advice for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis or requiring support to manage their symptoms. She takes a holistic approach to gender, considering this as one aspect of a whole person. In her private practice, Martha utilizes a range of therapies, placing much importance on a person-centred and individual approach. She has supported gender questioning and gender diverse people at different stages of their journey, offering a space to explore the Self with curiosity and work towards any goals.

Executive Function (EF) challenges are a key, but often invisible barrier faced by many neurodivergent adults, impacting wellbeing, productivity, and inclusion in workplaces, businesses, and daily life.
There are other services and organisations in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan that support children and young people with their emotional wellbeing. Our teams are made up of different professionals who all offer friendly and non-judgemental support to you and your family. Living with a health condition or disability may well have enabled you to develop key employability skills which are highly desired by graduate recruiters, such as flexibility, time management, resilience, communication and negotiation. My Plus Students Club offers a free guide to help you reflect on and draft a useful statement outlining your strengths, which will help with career planning and when taking part in recruitment, such as drafting your CV or a cover letter.

For example, there were sensory rooms with beanbags, soft lights and blankets for people to use if they Occupational Health Advisor felt overwhelmed. There were also headphones on the tables to be used if needed, as well as fidget toys to help keep people focused. We also promoted  our Cardiff social group, which is open to anyone living in Cardiff aged 18 or over with a learning disability.
Activities such as climbing, swimming, gaming, horse riding and more, are designed to provide a safe, understanding and supportive environment for the participants, as well as an opportunity to socialise and learn from each other. Since launching our Cardiff clinic in 2022, we’ve been able to increase regional capacity and carry out hundreds of assessments. With our full range of assessments available, we are able to carry out assessments for both autism & ADHD as well as combinations of the two. Parents/ carers  can self-refer to the service, if your child has received a diagnosis of autism  you will be able to access some  training and advice from the Integrated Autism Service. Your local integrated care board might be able to offer you support in the form of services, technologies, or resources for neurodiversity. A workplace needs assessment should be carried out by a qualified workplace needs assessor who has experience of supporting neurodivergent people in the workplace.

To avail of 1-1 support with us, you do not need an existing diagnosis or go through our partner clinics.
The resources are aimed at increasing the knowledge, skills, understanding of neurodivergence and practical tools for parents/carers of neurodivergent people. We help families and individuals stuck on waiting lists to get the diagnostic assessments and pre, during, and post-diagnostic support that public services struggle to provide promptly.
