Each test consists of one passage and one Stimulus-Based Conversation. There is also an answer key consisting of suggested prompts and detailed reference points for all Stimulus-Based Conversation tests at back of the book. All these will give the student sufficient practice and information to excel in the English Oral exam.
For me, it’s way more engaging than traditional methods, and it’s really effective at helping me remember what I’ve learned. I especially appreciate that it helps me practice speaking without the pressure english oral practice of talking to a real person, which is great since I sometimes feel a bit anxious about that. One of the best ways to learn new words that you can use in your English conversations is by reading.

This type, of course, is specifically designed to make you speak and lose the fear of making mistakes. You’ll be surrounded by other classmates with a level of English similar to yours, so you’ll feel more comfortable talking around them. Reading out loud is an excellent exercise that’ll help you improve your pronunciation, accent and  intonation. When you read out loud, you’re going from a passive to an active activity.
The student's ability to orally express their ideas, opinions, and feelings and fluently converse with the examiner in good English is the main criteria to ace this exam. These worksheets are great to use for your lessons because they come in many different styles and formats. Many of our speaking worksheets can be used in a variety of different ways.
From joining conversation groups to reading daily articles to improve English comprehension, there are many different activities you can do to level up your speaking skills. Your best option is to take speaking classes with a personal language tutor, as they can encourage you to use new grammar when conversing and correct your mistakes. Put the game on mute and make the play-by-play yourself in English. This gives you a running commentary, similar to if you were narrating yourself as you go about your day. Translating is a much more advanced skill, because you have to be able to listen and speak at the same time, but it will definitely improve your speaking skills. In the planned response component of the oral examination, students will be given a video to view with an accompanying question on that same video.

Finally, when the student has shared their views, the conclusion gives the final touch to the entire presentation. Therefore, it is important to reiterate the topic sentences and combine all the points once again and finish. Crafting a strong conclusion is possible by including the reflections and lessons learned in the final part. Here, you can encourage your child to use phrases like, to sum up, in conclusion, all in all, etc.
A strong candidate will be able to offer a well-considered response to the examiner’s questions. He or she will be able to use a wide range of well-chosen vocabulary and structures to express his or her ideas clearly . The student will be able to engage with the examiners actively to sustain a discussion, introducing new ideas, opinions or issues that are appropriate to the discussion . The student is expected to use clear and good articulation and pronunciation throughout the interaction. Having said that, one might ask if it is possible to provide a negative response that may seem controversial for some topics/questions?

Unfortunately, you can’t improve this skill by practicing alone. Small talk is a polite conversation about unimportant matters. Most importantly, you get to practice making small talk in English. However, practicing with a partner has one advantage over self-practice; it lets you practice your social skills. This misuse or corruption of the English language is called Engrish . It happens to people who have limited exposure to proper English.
The goal is to describe the picture without guessing too much. The pictures are of everyday things that B1 students should know. You’ll answer questions about your name, where you come from, what you do, and more. In the test, you talk to the other candidate and one of the examiners, called the Interlocutor. Select one or more questions from the list to ask each candidate.

One student at a time will read one of the lists of wishes and the rest of the class have to guess who they think the wishes belong to. Give out the worksheet and ask them to work in pairs to see if they can write the correct response to the appropriate sentence. Then choose a student to say one and another student / group to try to give the answer.
The beauty of this game is that you can adapt it to whichever topic you have been studying and make it easier or more difficult depending on the age and abilities of your students. In this game, each student in the pair draws a picture, keeping their paper shielded from the eyes of their partner. These type of activities used to be in puzzle magazines all the time.
